Meltzer is indicating this on Hockeybuzz that the Flyers and Gagne have come to terms on a new deal but it cannot be announced until they clear cap space. Not sure how legit this is. Meltzer is certainly more credible than Eklund.

was in favor of the move at first but starting to think I would prefer one of the kids like Straka to get a shot if they have a good camp. Mason Raymond is still available as well and he would fit in well on the 3rd. line, kills penalties, and can chip in with some goals, could probably be had for the same price or less than Gagne

Agree with all that. Like Gags & all but if Straka makes the team out of camp we're good

I guess Gagne's 2nd stint was short lived
"One name Holmgren didn't mention in the same sentence as that open position is Simon Gagne, whom many believed would get a training camp invite as well. Gagne will not be joining the team at camp.
"We kind of closed that off there a few days ago when we decided to make the commitment to Dan on a tryout," Holmgren said. "I think right now we’ll probably just stick with who we got."

I actually feel bad for Gagne on this, he deserved at least an invite but at the same time where would he even play?

Gagne should have been looking out for Gagne.

agree, plus the Flyers were in no position to offer him a contract. I don't think he would of even accepted a PTO contract anyway.
