So totally not about the game tonight, but just found a Tastykake discount bakery in Tennessee over the weekend!!! I'm dating a guy who is originally from PA, anyways, he racked up! Almost an entire buggy full for under $20!
I'm conflicted tonight. Hate the rags, but in reality, we ain't got a snowballs chance at a playoff spot.

Even going 6-0 only means a 23.7% chance of making it.
So, this guy? Flyers fan? Please don't say he's a Pens fan. PLEAASE?

He grew up in Bethleham, but is a Canucks fan, go figure. He's not anti-flyers so that's good, but isn't a pens fan so that's even better. He's 39, an engineer, no kids (but adores mine), never married, and has been down here since his senior year in high school. We met at work & have known each other about 5 years. He's a keeper:)
1-0 us....thanks to schenn.

hard not to be excited about Mason, kid looks really good in net and stole this game tonight. Laurisson looks like a real keeper on the 3rd. pairing as well. very nice, hard fought effort and how great was it seeing Rosehill do a number on Asham, props to Asham though he hung in there while taking some major blows

I don't know much of what went on in CLS with Mason, but here, he has shown to have way more ability, potential and upside then Bryz ever did here. This kid is making way more big saves and has shown a greater ability to steal games than Bryz ever did here. Mason has clearly shown he is more hungrier and wants it more than Bryz. If Bryz got hurt the same way Mason did last night, Bryz would have looked for a way out of the game or would have mailed it in. Mason acts like he wants to be here and wants to win. I don't think Bryz has shown that here. We don't win last night without Mason, plain and simple. I think we have ourselves an enforcer in Rosehill. Outside of that one quick jab, Asham got manhandled. I think Gus and Laurdisen are keepers as well. I still don't like how this team sits back after getting a multiple goal lead and has cost us in many games this year. This team would be playoff bound if not for that. You have to play for 60 mins, not 20-30. This team has always had issues with this regardless of who is coaching the team. They looked like world beaters the 1st period, looked ok, not great in the 2nd and the 3rd period, they were completely dominated. I loved how they were in the 1st period, I just wish they could play like that all the time.

I loved how they were in the 1st period, I just wish they could play like that all the time. I guess with Mason, or at least we hope, was that after 3 coaches (I think), the constant losing, the terrible teams etc...that he finally got to the point where his spirit was broken. A second chance is the exact type of thing that gets a talented guy's head screwed on straight. Yeah the CBJ are better this year but he was probably still in the same place mentally. He had to know Bob was brought in to take his job & he had to know that the org lost faith in him. I loved how Asham tried to bail out of the fight by letting his legging drop him to the ice & Rosehill kept propping him up beat on him some more. I think what we saw in the 3rd was a desperate & healthy Rangers team against a patch work D of mostly AHLers. I don't really think they sat back, they just don't have the experience the Rags do, esp on D. JMO

I wonder what the deal is with Asham anymore. He was a hard nosed player with the Flyers, but he's become a complete POS since his days with the Pens.

Yup....that bullshit he pulled when he KO'd that dude from the Caps sealed the deal for me. That and every Flyers fan I know personally acted like we let a future HOFer leave.

He's been nothing but injured since he left here. Loved him here, but the crap he pulled in playoffs last year with Schenn made me hate him. He's dead to me now.
